The fastest way to join the Thunderbirds is through the official Boy Scouts of America Be A Scout portal. It only takes a few minutes, and a troop leader will follow up to welcome you and answer any questions.

We meet Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the Scout Hut behind Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Houston, TX (12955 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079). Prospective families are welcome to visit any week, and our Open House on the second Tuesday of November is a perfect first visit.

Coming from a Cub Scout pack?

Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts (and their dens) are welcome to visit a meeting or join us for a campout before deciding; many dens come out for the King Ranch Rendezvous in November. It's the best way to see the troop in action. When you're ready, register through the portal above or ask us to transfer your existing BSA registration; new crossovers join a patrol with a Troop Guide from day one. Pack leaders: reach out and we'll set up a den visit.

Already a member family?

Annual renewal (recharter) is handled inside the troop each fall. Watch for the dues notice in the members' hub rather than re-registering here. Sign in if you need to update your family's details.
